Pirates Earn Post Season Honors
Boaz Pirate junior Daniel Gaither has been named as
a Honorable Mention to the AHSAA 5A All-State Team. Former Boaz Pirate, Logan Remson, has received
post season honors in the Alabama Junior College Association.

Logan Remson Signs With Warhawks
Boaz Pirate, Logan Remson, officially signed with Calhoun Community College, Tuesday, January
15. The ceremony was attended by a large crowd of family, friends, teammates, school officials, media and coaches.
A Boaz Pirate has been Coach Morrill's first official signee two years in a row. Remson will
join 2007 Boaz High graduate and college signee, Blake Douglas, on the WarHawk squad. More information coming soon...

Boaz High Senior pitcher Jeremy Vinyard was chosen in the Major League Baseball Draft, Friday June 8, by the
Cincinnati Reds.
UPDATE: Jeremy is officially a Cincinnati Red. He signed
his pro contract with the Red Organization Wednesday, June 13. Jeremy is playing in Sarasota Florida.

In all, 26 players from Alabama were chosen - 16 collegiate players and 10 high schoolers.

Boaz High Links For Jeremy Vinyard:
In 2007, Vinyard helped lead the Pirates to a 30-13 record - which is the winningest
season in Marshall County history - and the Class 4A, Area 11 Championship as a senior after finishing
as the area Runner-up in Class 5A in 2006 and '05. Boaz was area Runner-up in Class
4A in 2004.
In those four years, Boaz had 96 wins, or 24 wins per season making Vinyard and the other
seniors one of the winningest classes in school history.
